One of the highlights from the trip for Mike was being able to take Owen to football practice. Mike's older brother, Tom, is a football coach at Baldwin-Wallace in Berea, OH. It is a Division III school with lots of history for the Watts family. Mike's great grandfather (Owen's great-great-grandfather) coached there for many years and also had the stadium named after him for quite some time. Mike grandfather and dad played there. Now Mike's brother coaches there. Mike's cousin Abby's husband, Justin, who played offensive line at Miami of Ohio also took their two boys to practice. Boy oh boy did they have fun! Mike did say he didn't get to watch a down of practice because Owen was running around like a crazy man! Like taking a toddler to a football practice was going to be relaxing?!?!
Owen and Poppa standing by a plaque of Ray Watts. Neither Owen or I ever knew him, but we hear he was a heck of a football coach.
Imagine the sheer joy on my baby boys face when he saw this larger than life ball out on the track.
What is this thing for?!
Still looking a little confused!
World's largest tire. Not even Mike and Justin could lift it.
Owen giving it his best shot!
Breaking for some goldfish. This boy was working hard at practice!!
He found a smaller ball and a stick to keep him occupied.
I think he is practicing his golf swing!
Griffin and Grant taking turns tackling. Justin supervising the madness!
A view of the stadium. Goodluck, Uncle Tom. We hope you have a successful season!
