Since We've Been Gone...

WOW! It has been a long time. I can't tell you how many times I've contemplated giving up on the blog. The further I have fallen behind, the more difficult it has been to try to get back in the groove. We have had such a crazy few months with several major life changes. Rather than creating a separate post for everything, I am going to create one catch all post. I promise to try to do better keeping everyone updated going forward!

Since my last post on January 20...

Indianapolis hosted the Super Bowl and Mike and I were able to spend an evening downtown with Nick and Adrienne taking in all the excitement. It was very cool and we hope Indy gets the Super Bowl again in the future!

Owen came down with a terrible case of Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. He was out of daycare for an entire week--we were lucky to have family help. Such an awful experience for our little man.

We announced we would be adding another member to our family--due August 6th!!!

We decided to put our first house on the market March 5 and look for a new place in Indy for more space for our expanding family...Little did we know we would sell it in five days!! The buyers offered our ask price and wanted possession March 30. If you are doing the math, we sold the house on March 10 and they wanted it 20 days later!! We accepted the offer without having looked at any houses yet. Talk about giving a pregnant woman a heart attack!

We found out we were having a little GIRL! Olivia Ann is her name. We are so excited to be able to experience a son and a daughter. Of course there are all kinds of fun things that come along with little girls that I am so excited for ;-)

We bought a house!!! Our new home is in Westfield--It is 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths with a finished basement and fully fenced back yard. We love it. The best part is it is in the same neighborhood as our friends Nick and Adrienne!

We moved into our new house...Sans professional movers! Thank goodness for family and friends that helped us get everything from our old house to new house...We determined we will not move again without hiring professionals!

Owen graduated from eight weeks of swim lessons. Mike took him every Tuesday night for eight straight weeks. He really enjoyed the water and learned a few skills to take into the summer swimming season. Just in time for our Florida trip in May!

Owen had a great Easter. As you can tell, the Easter Bunny brought him some super cool shades and a watch! Too cool for school!

He even got to pet chickens at my Aunt Dana's house. She has a slew of them that she raises for their eggs. Owen thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Nick, Adrienne and Ben welcomed a new addition to their family--Lucy Mae Vollmer. She is a perfectly, beautiful little girl. We love her and can't wait for her to meet Olivia!

For now, this is all I have! My plan is to start posting pics of all the rooms in our house. Although we aren't 100% settled, we are making progress and everyday we enjoy our home a little more. Can't wait to share it with you all!
