Signs of Spring

Spring is in the air and at the Watts household we couldn't be anymore excited about it! This weekend Mike took three of his closest friends down to my parents lake house in Kentucky for a "dudes weekend." All I know is when they left for the lake on Friday afternoon, there were four dudes, four sets of golf clubs, fishing poles and nine cases of beer. Yes, you read that right. Nine cases of beer. Believe it or not, they actually had one left over! The guys enjoyed late night golf cart rides, ping pong in the party garage golf and they even broke out the jet ski on Saturday. They made it home in one piece and are already talking about how it is going to be an annual trip. A big thanks to Mom and Dad for letting them use the place.

While the dudes were out in the sticks of Kentucky, Owen and I opted to hang out with Mom, Erica and Ellen. Dad stayed home and hung out with us on Friday night before heading to the lake with the guys. Mom cooked a delicious meal and we enjoyed sitting around and letting Owen entertain us. After dinner, Aunt Erica gave Owen his first hair trim. He had hair growing over his ears and was starting to grow what resembled a curly rat tail. We sat him in his high chair and Mom distracted him with his new Handy Manny singing tool box while Erica chopped away. Such a big boy!

On Saturday, our plan to go to the zoo in the morning was derailed by the rain, so we opted for the mall and lunch. Owen was such a doll and got to eat California Pizza Kitchen for the first time. Yum! My grandma made her famous vegetable soup for dinner Saturday night (even the 88 degree temps outside couldn't turn me off of her soup). All in all, it was a great weekend, and we got to visit with a lot of people. Can't wait for all the fun times we're going to have with Owen this spring and summer!

Impressed at how well Erica did with a moving target!

Grammy bought O some trunks to leave at their house for when we are down there.

My parents neighbors brought down a like new Cozy Coupe and Radio Flyer wagon that their kids have outgrown. Now O will have them anytime he visits Grammy and Poppi. Thanks, Mary!

What the heck is this thing?!

Hey ladies, wanna ride with me?!

When we got back to Indy, we hung out in the backyard for a while enjoying the awesome weather. Let's just say, O isn't a huge fan of grass. Can ya tell?! I'm sure it won't take long to break him in!
