Zoo Boo

We took Owen to his first ever Zoo Boo at the Indianapolis Zoo a week ago. We met two families there and had high hopes that our little boy would love being dressed up in his Halloween costume riding around the zoo in the wagon with his BFF Ben....Yeah right!

Basically, we have concluded Owen hates Halloween and is terrified of everything that has to do with the holiday. Owen's Neena and Poppa sent him a couple of Halloween books a week or so ago and he is terrified of both of them. I have literally had to hide them because if he sees them he immediately begins crying and saying, "no." He is scared of people dressed up in costumes (i.e. Ben the tiger). He even flipped out on Friday when I dropped him off at daycare. All of the rooms had their Halloween class parties and he spotted the director of the daycare with a large feather headpiece on and panicked. Watching him flip out about this whole Halloween thing is very sad and hilarious at the same time. Maybe next year!

Owen, Parker, Kate and Ben.

Our very stressed out little golfer (minus the hat and shoes he refused to wear). The only thing helping him hold it together are the goldfish!

It took us a little bit to figure out the reason why Owen was screaming when we put him in the wagon. It was because he was scared of Ben the tiger!

There isn't anything scary about that little tiger ;-)

Owen spent his time at the zoo being carried by one of us. Rotten!

While Ben enjoyed riding around in Owen's wagon without him!

And the Stewart kiddos were adorable as always! While the trip was a moderate disaster for Owen (not to mention annoyingly crowded for the parents) we are glad we made the trip and are hopeful Owen won't be scared of Halloween forever!
