16 month stats

I have been a super lame blogger lately-sorry to all my loyal followers! Many things have happened over the past few weeks so I will attempt to catch you up on what I can.

Mr. Owen had his 16 month well-baby visit at the end of September and this is where he stands:

Height: 33 1/2 inches - 95th percentile
Weight: 24 lbs. 8 oz. - 45th percentile

He is a very happy kid, always (well, most always) smiling and lives for meal time. We have had a lot of problems with his sinuses, congestion, runny nose, etc. One pediatrician, ENT and infectious disease specialist later apparently he is "a serially sick child from exposure to bacteria and germs at daycare." Those words were a sharp knife to the chest for us, but we are super thankful nothing more serious is going on with him.

Some of his favorite words: ishies (fishies), book, Santa, ball (everything round is still a ball), no, nack (snack), ouside (outside), dog...There are many more that I am sure I am spacing, but all in all he is doing great with his words. His teacher told us last week he knows every single sound for the huge stack of animal flash cards they play with.

Meal time: there really isn't much to say other than this child eats ANYTHING you put in front of him. The only thing he isn't ever really excited about it meat. He would much prefer seconds and thirds of his fruits and vegetables. I know, every parents dream! We have definitely been blessed with a good eater.

Just had to keep a book with him in bed. This is where I found it a couple of hours later...

Owen and his doggies. Good thing he loves them because this is how close they ride together in the car. In this picture he is watching "ishies"aka Finding Nemo-his absolute favorite right now.
