I Sit on the Potty

A couple of nights ago as we were running Owen's bath water, he said to us, "I sit on the potty?" We were a little surprised since we hadn't really started talking up the whole potty thing yet, but Owen has almost fully transitioned to the two year room at daycare and since he sees the older 2's using the potty, I think it has sparked his interest.

Once we sat him on the potty, he peed! We were so shocked and made a huge deal about it. He was so proud of himself and has asked every night since to sit on the potty and every night he has peed. We are so excited, but aren't pushing him to do it at all. We figure we will be reactive with it for now and see where it leads. Per the recommendation of his daycare teacher, we are going to try not using a little potty chair. She said from her experience she thinks they make it more difficult to potty train and they are gross to clean. We shall see how it goes!
