Christmas Morning

This years we spent Christmas in Jeffersonville with my family. We had our annual Christmas Eve celebration at Mom and Dads house with the entire family-like 45 of us. Always a full house, but so fun to see everyone.

With all of the build up of Santa and getting presents, we were so excited to experience Owen's first Christmas where he actually had an interest in presents and toys. At 3:30 a.m. Christmas Day, we were rudely awakened with Owen screaming bloody murder. He was pretty much inconsolable and fell back asleep for only 45 minutes. Basically my vision of Owen waking up at 8 a.m. Christmas morning and being so excited about his gifts and actually being happy was nonexistent. Instead, I contemplated jumping out a second story window (OK, maybe a bit extreme, but you Moms know how it is when you have an inconsolable child in the middle of the night).

Owen was a disaster all day. Paid minimal attention to his toys and we managed to take only a couple of pictures, which turned out pretty bad.

First time he saw his train table.

He really likes it, especially now that his sour mood has improved.

Reading a new book.

Sitting at his new PBK table and chairs compliments of Grammy and Poppi. Unfortunately we are going to have to leave it at their house until he get a larger home.

Helping Grammy make a carrot cake.

Holding Grammy and Poppi's new puppy, Jack. I have never seen this little boy smile as big as he did than when he got to hold the puppy. Clearly the puppy enjoyed it to ;-)

Just to put things in to perspective. Jack is 2.8 lbs and Woody is like 70 something!
