One Special Lady

The week before Christmas was a very difficult time for out family because Mike lost his Grandma Bale. She fell a little over a year ago and really struggled to make a full recovery. Grandma had been living in an assisted living facility and had been fighting like hell for a full year. She was literally the feistiest woman I ever met and was so important to Mike. She literally was like a Mom to him and helped make him the man he is today. Grandma will always be remembered for her love toward her three grandsons and Mike's grandpa. I am personally so thankful to have known her and glad she had the chance to meet Owen. I have a few pictures we have taken during our visits with her that we cherish greatly.

When Owen was born, Grandpa and Grandma drive to Indy to meet him!

One of our many visits to spend time with Grandma.

One of my favorite pictures. This is when Grandma was in the hospital at some point last year and we took Owen to see her. Seeing the difference in their hands is such a testament to the aging process. Very special. We will have a lot of stories to tell Owen one day about his very special Great-Grandma.
