Santa Claus

In October Owen had already begun talking about Santa. While he is still to young to understand Santa, he was able to clearly identify him in commercials on TV, in person, on gift bags, in stores, etc. My parents gave him a dancing Santa that sings and dances to Jingle Bell Rock and he was a fixture in Owen's room (he slept on the floor by his crib with a blankie). With all of the excitement surrounding Santa, we were eager to see how Owen would react when he saw the big man in person. My work hosted a Breakfast with Santa one Saturday morning in December so we decided to take him there as opposed to the crazy mall.

Everything was great while we waited in line. Owen ate his candy cane and pointed to Santa.

...and then it was our turn...

He kicked and screamed, "No. No. No. No." Basically, he spent the entire season talking about Santa, but when it came down to it, he did not want anything to do with him in person. We figure it might be like that for a couple more years, but nonetheless, it was a lot of fun listening to him talk about Santa.
