Happy 1st Birthday Owen

Today our sweet little boy turned one! We absolutely cannot believe it has been a year since he came into this world. Before he was born we always wondered what life would be like with him in it. Now we simply can't imagine life without him. He is such a blessing and has brought more joy and happiness to our lives than we ever knew existed. Because this was his FIRST birthday we took a gazillion pictures, so there will be multiple posts reflecting the big birthday celebration! On Tuesday Owen has his one year well baby check up, so I will be sure to post his stats and all of the other developmental things he has achieved.

As I revealed last week, his party was a race car theme. Mike and I bought him a ball pit as his present and boy is it a hit! He officially turns into a wild man when we bring it out for him to play with. We gave it to him a couple of days before his birthday because we were so excited about it.

The ball pit only came with 50 balls, so we bought an extra 100 to put in there! He couldn't wait to get his hands on them. 

From the moment he climbed in this thing he had a smile on his face. In between smiles he let out lots of screams of excitement. He is really starting to love the word "ball" now that he plays in 150 of them daily!
