One year stats

It is so hard for me to believe Owen is actually one. We had his one year well baby check up last week and it seems everything is exactly how it should be, except for the pesky ear infection that just doesn't want to go away. We are on round two of antibiotics to try to take care of it!

Here are the top ten things our little toddler is up to these days:

1. What isn't he up to?!
2. He is completely transitioned from bottles and formula to sippy cup and whole milk. This one was more difficult for me than him. Tear.
3. He is 100% on table food. His favorites are any fruit or vegetable you put in front of him, especially blueberries! We have to ration his blueberry intake because they are literally staining his butt purple. We were afraid daycare might contact CPS!!! He doesn't particularly care for meat when we give it to him at home, but he is warming up to it.
4. He is a wild man and loves to play with all of his toys, especially his ball pit, tent and golf clubs. The child is going to take someone or something out with his golf clubs we just know it!
5. He loves being outside, but doesn't care for grass. We're going to have to get him over this little issue.
6. He goes to bed each night by 7:30 and sleeps until 7 the next morning, sometimes a little later (Mommy is now a morning person-my internal alarm clock goes off each day around 6 or 6:30).
7. He is now a full time WALKER! It is so cute. I must say I don't feel like he is in to anything more than what he was when he was a crawler, so our lives haven't changed too much with this new revelation.
8. He is quite the Momma's boy. He pretty much does not like for me to be out of his sight when we are at home. Although when I was trimming his finger nails tonight, he did cry out for Dada!
9. He is really beginning to like his books and being read to. I had to put away all of his books with paper pages because he is literally ripping out all the pages. After bath he likes to sit in our lap while we read. The current favorite is "How Big Is Baby Elmo?"
10. He is already throwing fits? Nobody told me a one year old threw fits! When he is mad or something isn't going his way, he sits on the floor and throws his head between his legs. Real cute! Luckily the pediatrician gave me some helpful tips on how to handle this common behavior.

His stats were as follows:

Height: 31 1/2 inches-95th percentile
Weight: 22 lbs. 10 oz-55th percentile

A perfectly healthy long and lean little boy is what we have on our hands. I suppose I forgot to mention adorable :-)
