Baby Shower Fun

On Saturday, we had the pleasure of driving to Ohio to attend a baby shower for our friends. My college roommate (and also the friend I lived with in Dallas) Katie, and her husband Andy-who was Mike's college roommate got married about  six months after Mike and I. They are also now expecting their first child-Easton Andrew-due September 4th. It was about an hour and a half drive and low and behold Owen had another carseat blowout halfway there ruining the "dressed to impress" outfit we had on him since it was the first time he was meeting Andy and Katie. Go figure-new inexperienced mom naive that her son couldn't possibly poop his pants when he has a diaper on-only had a football onesie in the diaper bag that is 0-3 month and due to how long Owen is, fits him like a high waisted brief. Oh well. He made up for it with his PERFECT behavior the three hours we were there. The child didn't cry or fuss once and made it a point to coo and talk while Katie was opening presents. I think he was giving his approval on all the neat gifts she got :) Katie-you look great and we are thinking of you guys these last few weeks. We can't wait to meet Easton!

Two of Katie's friends from high school also had their sweet little ones there. The baby directly to our left was born one week exactly before Owen.
