6 Month Stats

Yes, you read the title of this post correctly, 6 months! We ask ourselves everyday where the time is going as we watch our little baby turn in to a big boy. Some of our favorite things Owen is doing currently include: log rolling across the floor, sitting up like a big boy, opening his mouth like a bird when we feed him cereal or sweet potatoes (nothing else-the kid knows what he likes), and in general, just being a wonderful baby. My parents told us repeatedly over the weekend how we simply don't realize how lucky we are to have such a good baby. We thank God everyday for the best thing that has ever happened to us!

We had Owen's six month well baby visit today and wanted to share his stats along with some pictures documenting the trip to the doctors office.

Height: 28 inches long (95th percentile)
Weight: 19 lbs. 1 oz. (75th percentile)

So far, it seems Owen is on track to get the Ballenger height. We have our fingers crossed he stays on this path!

He fell asleep on the one mile drive from daycare to the pediatrician. I hated having to wake him from his slumber...

He was as happy as can be when he woke up. He thought he was pretty cool rolling around the table.

He especially loved when Dr. McAteer gave him the tongue depressor to play with. A few short minutes later I am pretty sure he stuck it halfway down his throat judging by the choking noises he started making.

He wasn't too sure about the oral medication he was due for.

And then he lost it...Dang shots!

He fell asleep five minutes after we left the doctor and I finally had to wake him up at ten till six. What a rough day!
